Lansing, MI – A player from Michigan was among eight players to win $1 million, but not the $720 million Mega Millions jackpot for the Friday, July 21, drawing.
That means the drawing on Tuesday, July 25 will be worth $820 million with a $422 million cash option.

Although there was no big prize winner, eight players won $1 million by matching all five white balls drawn. Those tickets were sold in California, Florida (2X), Michigan, North Carolina (2X) and New Jersey (2X).
· However, none of those players played the megabill option, which would have boosted their winnings to $2 million.
· In Michigan, the $1 million winner is the largest prize won in the state. The winning ticket was sold at Hunter and Wayne Liquor Store located at 35201 Hunter Ave in Westland.
1,136,941 tickets were sold that won at least $4 in the drawing. In Michigan, 38,671 tickets sold won at least $4 in the drawing.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m., with five balls drawn from balls numbered 1 to 70; Mega Ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 to 25. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302 million.
Mega Millions is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Each ticket costs $2.
