Tomantas Sabonis trolled by NBA fans for pulling off Kings' playoff loss to Pelicans

The Sacramento Kings' season came to an end on Friday night, losing to the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA play-offs by a final score of 105-98.

After beating the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday and having a chance to clinch the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, the Kings couldn't beat a Pelicans team missing superstar Zion Williamson.

Sacramento's star duo performed admirably, with De'Aaron Fox leading all scorers with 35 points, while Domantas Sabonis posted 23 points and 14 rebounds to go along with seven assists. However, the two combined to commit nine turnovers.

The absence of shooting guards Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk was evident as the Kings as a team hit just 27 percent of their attempts from behind the arc. They missed all seven free throws and shot 15-22 from the field. Despite finishing with a 46-36 record, Sacramento's season was officially over before the playoffs even began.

NBA fans trolled the Kings following their loss to the short-handed Pelicans:

After a Game 7 loss to the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2023 playoffs, Sacramento's season ended Friday in another must-win contest.
