Who's On The 2024 Pennsylvania Primary Ballot?

President

The battleground state's primary is relatively late, and Republican Donald Trump is currently running unopposed after former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley. Suspended his 2024 GOP presidential campaign in early March.

Democrat Joe Biden is also running unopposed in the primary. That's his remaining challenge, as Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota dropped out His longtime Democratic primary effort Against Biden in early March.

Senate

Democratic US Senate. Bob Casey did not face a primary opponent and did not face Republican challenger David McCormick. Control of the U.S. Senate is up for grabs in 2024, and Casey's bid for a fourth term is expected to be one of the nation's most expensive and closely watched races.

Primary voters also have to make their choices in other races.

Congress

All 17 incumbents — nine Democrats and eight Republicans — are running for re-election in Pennsylvania's 17 congressional seats.

Only a handful of seats are expected to be contested in the November general election.

In the primary, only five have direct rivals within their own party: Philadelphia's Democratic representative; Dwight Evans, Pittsburgh-area Democratic U.S. Rep. Summer Lee and Republican U.S. Reps. Mike Kelly of Butler and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Bucks County.

Evans Wills is facing former Philadelphia Register of Deeds Tracy Gordon to lead the 3rd District, which covers much of Philadelphia.

Fitzpatrick's re-election bid is also gaining attention. He faces challenger Mike Hook for the 1st District seat. The winner will face Democrat Ashley Ihasz.

In eastern Pennsylvania's 7th District, three Republicans are vying to challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. Susan Wild of Allentown. They are state representative Ryan McKenzie, IT company owner Kevin Dellicker and attorney Maria Montero.

Meanwhile, in southcentral Pennsylvania's 10th District, six Democrats are seeking the nomination to challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Scott Perry of York County. They are former public radio executive Blake Lynch, business consultant John Broadhurst, former television news personality Janelle Stelson, Harrisburg City Council member Shamain Daniels, retired Marine Corps pilot Michael O'Brien and Rick Coplen, a teacher and retired Army officer.

Attorney General

Five Democrats filed in the party's primary.

They include state Representative Jared Solomon of PhiladelphiaDelaware County District Attorney Jack StolzheimerFormer State Auditor General Eugene DePasqualeFormer Central Government Advocate Joe Kahn And Keir Bradford-GrayFormer Chief Public Defender of Philadelphia and Montgomery County.

On the Republican side, York County District Attorney Dave Sunday and Delaware County State Representative Craig Williams have filed to run.

Treasurer

Republican incumbent Stacey Garrity filed to run for a second four-year term. On the Democratic side, two filed to run: state Rep. Ryan Pizarro of Erie and Erin McClelland, a two-term congressional candidate from suburban Pittsburgh who helped run various human services organizations.

Auditor General

Republican incumbent Tim DeFore has filed to run for a second four-year term. On the Democratic side, two filed to run: State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta of Philadelphia and Lehigh County Comptroller Mark Binsley.
