MEGA BILLIONAIRE!

The first Mega Millions jackpot winning ticket of 2024, worth $1.13 billion, was won in New Jersey on Tuesday night.

Winning numbers are 7, 11, 22, 29, 38, and Golden Mega Ball 4.

The $1.13 billion jackpot is the 5th largest prize in lottery history.

The new billionaire could receive $1.13 billion in annual payments, or an estimated one-time lump sum of $537.5 million.

Thirteen players — from California, Colorado, Florida (2), Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York (2) and Ohio — matched all five white balls for the $1 million prize.

The odds of winning Mega Millions are an astronomical 1 in 302,575,350.

Tuesday night's win was the first time the Mega Millions jackpot has been won since Dec. 8, when two tickets in California matched the estimated $395 million jackpot.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot, worth $1.602 billion, was sold to a winner in August 2023 at a Publix supermarket in Neptune Beach, Fla.

Saltines Holdings, LLC, a limited liability company, chose to receive its prize in a lump sum of $794,248,882.00.
