A left-leaning watchdog group released an ad Monday targeting Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and supporters of his speakership for his role in former President Trump’s efforts to stay in power after the 2020 election and for Jordan’s connection to the Jan. 2020 election. 6 Assault on the Capitol.

The ad, released Monday by the Congressional Integrity Project, is a compilation of footage from news reports, as well as recent comments from Republicans who have spoken out against Jordan — including former Reps. The announcement comes ahead of a vote for a new speaker expected to take place on Tuesday. Jordan is the GOP nominee, and while he appears to be short of the 217 votes needed to win the House Ford, he gained significant momentum Monday and is closing in on reaching that threshold.
