For the second week in a row, “Monday Night Football” has two games.
Game 1 features a battle of two undefeated teams. One of those teams, the Philadelphia Eagles, was always expected to be in this position. Another, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was projected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL.
Not like that for two weeks. Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans have done enough to push the Buccaneers to two straight wins to start the season. Monday presents the team’s biggest test. If they can hang in there with the Eagles, people will start taking the Bucks seriously.
The second “Monday Night Football” game features two major surprises. After a miserable 2021, the Los Angeles Rams are on the rebound. Matthew Stafford’s arm looks fully healthy, and rookie Puga Nagua looks like the steal of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Meanwhile, the Bengals look like a mess and will play Joe Burrow off an 0-2 start. The team’s offense still hasn’t found its stride, and Cincinnati isn’t suddenly successful. Can the Bengals finally turn things around on Monday?
Yahoo Sports will bring you the latest news, stats and injuries during the “Monday Night Football” doubleheader in Week 3.
